About Brady

Brady was born on November 4, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a very active child and fell in love with sports and friends at a young age. He received the Hope of America Award at Edgemont Elementary. Brady was social and loved people; he had a long list of best friends. He was a student in the 8th grade at Centennial Middle School where he was a student body officer. Brady was a kind and gentle boy who loved everyone and was loved by everyone. He was a great athlete, excelling in soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, football, and any other sport he wanted to play. He was also an excellent student with a curious and inquiring mind.

One outstanding quality was his almost legendary love of younger children. As he would patiently play with babies or toddlers for hours. Brady has earned his Duty to God Deacon and Eagle Scout awards. He was looking forward to being a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We know that he is in the loving care of his Heavenly Father and will yet serve his mission in another realm. He was a loving companion to his older sister, stephanie, and younger brothers, Jacob and Justin, and his loss has been a big void in all our lives. We rejoice in the almost fourteen years we were privileged to have him with us.

The whole community came together and prayed for Brady during his thirteen-day fight for his life. Football teams had “pray for Brady” on their helmets, the cross-country team had it written on their arms, soccer teams had it on wrist bands, wards fasted and prayed for him. We were shown so much love and support that we wanted to give back. After’s Brady’s death we remodeled the PICU waiting area at Primary Children’s hospital. Twenty years later we want to do something to remember Brady that will last for years to come.
